Torr VII was the grandson of Torr VI, first elected by the Imperial Council when he was a mere 15 years old. That was in a year 3333 of the New Shi'ar Calendar. For the first 30 years of his reign, the Imperium was actually ruled by three Imperial Regents since Torr VII was considered mentally incapacitated due to his youth.
Like his grandfather, Torr VII tried to limit the influence of the Fist of the Shi'ar People due to it's racist and imperialist desires, but was unable to do so.
In Year 3415, he was temporarily removed as Sovereign by a two-thirds vote of the Imperial Council after forsaking the teachings of the Church of the True God in favor of the Pantheon of the Old Gods, but the Council reelected him Sovereign less than two years later after the mental instability of the then-ruling Imperial Regent was discovered.
Several times, Torr VII fell into a coma, forcing the selection of Imperial Regents since he was physically incapacitated.
Finally, in Year 3750, he resigned as Imperial Sovereign.
