The Party for an Interplanetary Republic occupies a minority of seats within the Imperial Council and Assembly of Alien Races. It wants to turn the New Shi'ar Imperium into an Interplanetary Republic, possibly called the Interplanetary Republic of Chandilar.
The monarchy and position of Imperial Sovereign would be abolished and replaced by an Executive Council of the Republic randomly selected once a year from the ranks of the Imperial Council (perhaps to be officially renamed the Senate) and the Assembly of Alien Races, with some Assembly members selected by the Executive Council and some by the Imperial Council/Senate.
