The Beta Quadrant, sandwiched between the Alpha Quadrant and the Gamma Quadrant, represents one-fourth of the Pocket Universe. It is also on the opposite side of the local universe from the Delta Quadrant. Both the Systems Commonwealth and the New Shi'ar Imperium are relatively powerful here, but their control is contested by the Sontaran Dominion, the Kurgan Caliphate, and the Cylons headquartered on New Cylon.
