The Assembly of Alien Races is a major government body within the New Shi'ar Imperium designed to represent the non-Shi'ar races living within the Imperium. It possesses legislative powers, albiet subject to the veto of both the Imperial Sovereign and the Imperial Council.
The Assembly is composed of 1000 members, 500 appointed by the ruling Sovereign and 500 by the Imperial Council. Assembly members retain membership for a term of 12 years.
The majority of Assembly members are Humans.
